What is Zcash (ZEC)?
An altcoin using cryptography for enhanced privacy compared to Bitcoin and other altcoins. Zcash uses Zero-Knowledge Proof which allows two users to engage in transactions without revealing their addresses to each other.
What value to buyers of Zcash see in it?
It is a different technology and use case for transferring “funds” privately around the world. The dark web markets will always jump on privacy coins that aren’t outright fraud and are actually useful. The speculators of altcoins will speculate on a cryptocurrency with privacy features people are using as adoption will increase the price of the coins.
What are the criticisms of Zcash (ZEC)?
The 20% “founders reward” for the first 4 years the coin is mined has its critics. Creating a team and founding a crypto isn’t as cheap as it used to be, the alternative for Zcash would have been to ICO and get funds up from “investors” and possibly fail with their project like so many ICO’s do.
